We created this pasta recipe to celebrate National Garlic Day but quite frankly this dish is wonderful any time of year. Our unsmoked spoiltpig back bacon with the taste of Mediterranean Harissa and fabulous garlic over pasta… It’s quick to knock up, and a real crowd pleaser to boot!
Cook pasta according to the packet instructions and set aside somewhere warm.
Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat, add the bacon and fry for a few mins until cooker. Remove from the frying pan and set aside.
Add another tsp of olive oil to the pan and the spring onion and cook for a 1 min.
Stir in the garlic puree followed by the harissa past and cook for approx. 2 mins.
Return the bacon to the pan followed by the pasta and stir till the pasta is well coated before switching off the heat.
Serve the pasta in bowls topped with pine nuts and cheese.
